My Debut Writing for Cinema

I first saw the ‘Human Computer’ Shakuntala Devi when she did a math show at my school in Kolkata. I was 6 years old, but I still remember how she held us spellbound by her magic, almost like she was pulling numbers out of the pallu of her silk saree.

It still seems magical that her extraordinary true story (that I had the opportunity to write the screenplay for) was brought to life by Vidya Balan, one of the most acclaimed Indian actors.
